Dust off your blue suede shoes, people. It’s time to talk about Elvis Presley! Anytime Blaire and Marie get to talk about a Baz Luhrmann movie is a good time on this pod, and this Baz-ified biopic of The King did not disappoint. Catherine Martin designed the costumes (we talked about her in our Moulin Rouge episode), which included over 9,000 background cast looks, and over 90 for Elvis (played by Austin Butler). Fun fact: Miuccia Prada was behind several of the costumes for Priscilla Presley and Elvis.
